Code of Ethics

As a member of the Ohio Manufactured Homes Association, I subscribe and pledge allegiance to the policies and principals set forth in the following code of ethics:
Our paramount responsibility is to our customers, I shall present myself to all customers in a manner, which brings respect and prestige to the association and industry.
Association members shall contribute constructively to the public image of manufactured home living and recreation vehicle enjoyment in Ohio and the country.
Association members shall at all times refrain from making any statement or conducting themselves in any manner of conduct that may bring discredit to the association or member thereof.
Association members shall merchandise industry products and services honestly, without false promises or misrepresentation, giving good value to their customers.

Association members and employees shall offer their merchandise and service on their merits and shall refrain from attacking competitors of their methods of doing business.
All advertising statements - including terms of financing - shall be truthful and free from the capacity to deceive or mislead the public.
In all dealings, the model year of the manufactured home and recreation vehicle shall be correctly represented. All warranties, guarantees and similar obligations shall be promptly and faithfully fulfilled.
Association members shall not engage in methods of operation that are unlawful, unsanitary, or detrimental to the health and welfare of the public.
Manufactured home park owners shall subscribe in principle and practice to respect their responsibilities to the manufactured housing residents within their park and shall maintain their parks in such a fashion as to constructively improve the public image of manufactured home living.
As members of a progressive industry, we encourage research to develop higher standards of construction of industry products that every manufactured home and recreation vehicle purchaser may receive the greatest value possible for every dollar.
To work with all association members as a united team and to support the state and national trade associations in principle and practice and to encourage others to do so.
We assume these responsibilities freely and solemnly, mindful they are part of our obligation as members of the Ohio Manufactured Homes Association.
