OMHA provides no-charge legal advice on special manufactured home law and will provide legally-approved forms free! The General Counsel will assist not only you as the member but your local attorney. Also, OMHA’s General Counsel has developed a reputation throughout Ohio for providing guidance to local judges, to instruct them on all aspects of manufactured home law. OMHA also works with OMHC, the Tenant Association AMHRO, and other regulatory bodies to help you resolve any issues your community may come across. Our current General Counsel, Elizabeth Birch, has sixteen (16) years experience in MH law.

Educational Classes and Training
Both new and seasoned Community Managers need training from time to time. OMHA has developed a Community Management and Legal Seminar tailored to park owners and managers. This three part course covers everything and gives helpful tips in making your community better. Previous attendees have referenced our course guides as their new office “Bible”. It is also an excellent way to network and get your questions answered.
Can’t get away for a whole day? In 2014 OMHA will be offering single topic webinars which will be approximately an hour in length.

2014 Spring Home Show
OMHA registration is now open for home display & exhibitor space as well as sponsorship opportunities for the Eastern Ohio Home Show planned for Friday, May 16th – Sunday, May 18th, 2014 at the MAPS Air Field and Museum located adjacent to the Akron/Canton Airport in North Canton, Ohio. All exhibit space and sponsorships are provided on a first come basis.
More than 20 fully furnished and landscaped homes for display to the public along with numerous housing industry businesses have requested home or exhibit space already. Businesses outside the factory built homes industry from oil/gas suppliers, health care systems, and tourism to federal, state and local government have also expressed interest. Dormitory units for the Utica Shale Oil & Gas industry will be displayed adjacent to the Home Village. Home display deposits are due 12/1/13 and Exhibitor deposits are due by 1/1/14.
Homebuyer lending and education seminars for the public as well as industry seminars regarding business opportunities in the Utica Shale region, government & industry lending programs are scheduled. An oil/gas and area job fair is likely.
OMHA anticipates 5,000 or more visitors during the show as heavy radio, print, internet, social media & billboard advertising along with remote radio broadcasts and exciting giveaways are planned.
