OMHA BOARD ELECTIONS
It’s time to prepare for the biannual OMHA Chapter and Board Elections for 2018-2019. November of every odd numbered year chapters have the opportunity to elect officers and representatives to the OMHA Board of Directors.
There is an increasing need for members to attend chapter meetings to network and learn about the latest industry and regulatory developments. With the OMHC transition into the Department of Commerce we plan to have regional meetings updating members of the new changes. It is important we have regional leaders to help!
PLEASE NOTE NEW CHANGES TO OMHA BYLAWS:
Major Changes are:
- Creates five regional chapters or “Regional Geographic Areas” (where a regional chapter is not active or in existence). Each of the five areas can elect up to 4 board members
- Allow for “meetings” to have same meaning as electronic communications, email, teleconference, video conference or any other commonly accepted technological and social media means.
- Create “lifetime” board members as approved by the Board with at least 20 years’ service.
