PA Installer Alert

FYI-OMHA would like our installers wo know that neighboring state Pennsylvania suspended its authority to oversee its manufactured housing installation program and is allowing that program to revert back to federal control, it was announced this week at the MHI meeting in Savannah. Keystone State regulators said the current program was too expensive and decided to return it to the control of the US. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Migration to the federal program will begin October 1, 2019

Ohio EPA Asset Management Rules Ohio EPA’s asset management rules took effect November 8th.  Most significantly requirements for an Asset Management Plan took effect  OMHA sent email from EPA with attached guidance documents.  The guidance document is applicable for use by non-community systems, mobile home parks, and homeowner’s associations, acts as a template for the requirements of an Asset Management Program. State Commission Transition to Ohio Department of Commerce Update

Spring 2018  OMHA continues to work with the various Departments within the Ohio Department of Commerce. OMHA Staff and several board members participated in a conference call in February to discuss upcoming adoption of new rules (to be proposed in July) and any changes the industry should be aware of.   While Commerce did not identify any significant changes at this time OMHA will continue to closely monitor the drafted laws and rules as they are published and provide appropriate input
