President Trump Signs Legislation Giving Manufactured Housing Retailers and Sellers Relief from the Dodd-Frank Act Calling today a great day for America, American workers, and small businesses, President Trump signed into law S. 2155, the “Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act.” S. 2155 includes a provision clarifying that a manufactured housing retailer or seller is not inappropriately considered a mortgage “loan originator” simply because they provide a customer with some assistance in the mortgage loan process.
